Friends of Faith,

"Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name."
Psalm 103:1

One of the most important things we can do as parents or grandparents is to tell our children what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. At a very early age we should teach them that God is in control of all things. "The Lord has established His throne in the heavens; And His sovereignty rules over all." Ps.103:19.

Children, however, remember more of what they see than what they hear. Parents can enhance a child's faith in God by showing them what He is doing all around them. Things as simple as finding a lost toy or finding friends in school and church. The Lord is involved in their lives.

I have used the example of a child but remember we are God's children. The more we focus on the positive things that are happening in our lives and in our church, the greater our praise will be and the stronger our faith will grow.
We help each other grow by reminding ourselves and one another of the Lord's provision, forgiveness and lovingkindness.

Are you discouraged? Read Psalm 103 and let the Lord lift your spirit with praise and thanksgiving.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Pastor Paul

And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness. "

PRAYER
Lord I am willing
To receive what you give,
To lack what you withhold
To relinquish what you inflict,
To be what you require. EVANGELISM/MISSIONS NEWS. . .

"Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine,
even the least of them, you did it to Me." ~ Matthew 25:40

We are again participating in OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD and encourage you to be a part of this ministry. Last year 7.9 million children received gifts in many countries throughout the world.

Our church sent about 60 boxes and we would like to submit even more this year. The collection DEADLINE IS SUNDAY NOV. 15TH so please bring your filled shoe boxes by that time. There are brochure in the narthex of the church, or See Lorraine Halverson for more information. Boxes can be left on the table in the narthex. This year you have the option to give the suggested $7.00 donation on-line instead of in the box. This allows you to track the box and see to which country it has been sent.

KENYA
We will also have an opportunity to give to the children of GLORY OF CHRIST MINISTRY in Kenya. Since it is impossible to send gifts, an offering at a later date will be taken so each child will receive a small gift. More information will be available later.

A committee has already begun planning Faith Lutheran Church's 20th anniversary on June 20th. Be looking for updates as plans go forward.

"Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners,
and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering."
~ Hebrews 13:3 ~

The INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH (IDOP) is a global day of intercession for persecuted Christians worldwide. Its primary focus is the work of intercessory prayer and citizen action on behalf of persecuted communities of the Christian faith. We also encourage prayer for the souls of the oppressors, the nations that promote persecution, and those who ignore it.

We believe that prayer changes things. Exactly what happens is a mystery of faith. God invites us to present to Him our requests and to pray without ceasing. Persecuted Christians often plead for prayer to help them endure. The most we can do is the least we can do - PRAY.
